Karate WA is pleased to welcome George Dale as our new Regional Coordinator who commenced with us on 9 March 2026.
George brings a strong mix of experience across high performance sport officiating and governance He has been involved in fencing since 2012 including 10 years as a high performance athlete representing both Western Australia and Australia and has also achieved national refereeing accreditation
Over the past six years George has contributed in a range of voluntary administrative roles across both club and state committees building a solid understanding of how sport operates at all levels
He also holds a Bachelor of Arts double majoring in Law and Society and Political Science and International Relations with a strong interest in policy stakeholder engagement and the systems that support sport and community
Since commencing in the role, George has already been connecting with regional clubs and key stakeholders across the state.
In his role as Regional Coordinator George will focus on
- Building strong connections with regional clubs and communities
- Supporting club growth and capability
- Assisting with program delivery across regions
- Identifying opportunities to strengthen participation and engagement
George will play an important role in strengthening regional connections and supporting communities across Western Australia
Karate WA looks forward to the contribution George will make as karate continues to grow and connect across the state
