The WA Karate Federation is pleased to announce the successful applicants selected to join the WA State Referee Commission (SRC). After a thorough selection process, we are excited to welcome the following individuals to the SRC:
- Rebecca Barlett– Secretary
- Mia Vukovic
- Maurice Matteucci
- Tony Smith
In addition, we are delighted to confirm that Justin Dowell will continue in his role as the Chair of the SRC.
We extend our congratulations to Rebecca, Mia, Maurice, Tony, and Justin. We look forward to their contributions and to the continued success of the WA State Referee Commission.

SRC Accountabilities
- Abide by AKF code of ethics and behaviour.
- Conduct SRC meetings prior to State and National level events.
- Conduct an annual meeting for the SRC
- Review and maintain a record of the Referee & Judge policies and procedures.
- Maintain a current State and National level register of qualified Referees and Judges from Western Australia
- Provide a high standard of seminar-based education and development to ensure advancement of referee and judge capability and knowledge.
- Ensure rules and policies are adhered to by the SRC.
- Examine and accredit applicants for upgrades.
