WAKF Athlete Pathway aligns with the Australian Institute of Sport’s FTEM framework, allowing the sport to provide participants with multiple access points. Utilising the Foundational, Talented, Elite and Mastery headings, WAKF seek to assist athletes development.
The State operates a state development program consisting of a state development camp and development training. This is focussed on preparing our elite athletes for national competitions.
Entry is open to all athletes to become members of the state squad. During the course of the development program, the state team will be selected for entry to the national championships. The state team is selected each year.
