State Squad Registrations & State Team Nominations Open for 2025!
Are you ready to represent Western Australia on the national stage? Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or new to the world of sport karate, 2025 is your year to shine!
The Western Australia Karate Federation (WAKF) is excited to announce that State SQUAD Registrations and State TEAM nominations are now open for all WAKF members.
Why Join the State SQUAD?
The WAKF State SQUAD program provides a structured pathway, supporting the growth and performance of sport karate in WA. Open to all WAKF members, it aims to establish strong foundations and promote performance in sport karate.
Registration includes;
- 10 x State Squad Training Sessions – enhancing skills and performance.
- Development and Coaching Programs – guided by experienced coaches.
- State Squad Training Camp – building teamwork and advancing skills.
- 2025 Gala Awards Night Ticket – celebrating annual achievements.
- State TEAM Eligibility – only Squad members qualify for selection.
- National Squad Pathway Program – opportunity for higher-level competition.
Regional? No problem!
The WAKF would like to make sure the State Squad is inclusive to all athletes, in Western Australia. The WAKF recognises the logistics of having to travel to the metropolitan base for State Squad activities and has devised a State Squad Regional Package for 2025.

Nominations are open for ALL State SQUAD Athletes who want to represent WA and compete against the best karate athletes in the country.

State SQUAD:
- ANY member of the WAKF
- ANY and ALL experience and skill levels are welcome!
State TEAM
- State SQUAD athletes only!
